PHASE 1 - $135,000 US to Bring The Materials to the Site and Build the Building

PHASE 2 - Khenpo Tsewang is presently calculating the costs of furnishing the school. We are contacting other non-profits working in the area to secure grants and assistance with the greenhouse, bunkbeds, kitchen, computers, power generating systems, teaching materials, and the medical clinic for the school and the 4 local villages.

$88 will pay for 1 Bed, Mattress. Pillow, Blanket, Sheets, Chair and Table. (Chair seats two and table is for two students) Cost breakdown here

Khenpo Tsewang is in Nangchen talking to engineers, builders, government officials and suppliers. He is regularly visiting the 1800 people living in 4 Villages who have requested this school. The pictures on this website and in the fund raising material are the actual children who will attend the school. This project is scheduled to start in October 2006. The materials will be driven the 7 hours from Nangchen City and stock piled in the largest village (also the closest to the school site) over the winter. Building will start in early Spring and continue through the short summer months. We need your help to make this happen on schedule.
